The federal mandate, No Child Left
Behind, initiated an opportunity to
create programs for communicating the
Career Cluster education modules mandated by
Federal and State educational agencies.
In compliance with this mandate, Profiles International created the Graduate Coach assessment. This tool assists high school students with selecting courses and electives based on their unique abilities and interests. Occupations and Career Clusters are also identified that match students’ Thinking Style, Occupational Interests and Behavioral Traits. |

The U.S. Department of Education’s Office of Vocational and Adult Education (OVAE) has identified 16 Career Clusters representing career opportunities for the 21st century economy.
A Career Cluster is a grouping of occupations and broad industries based on commonalities. Career Clusters prepare learners of all ages for the information age as schools, colleges and employers strive for higher achievement in science, math and communications.
One key to improving learner achievement is providing learners with relevant contexts for studying and learning. Career Clusters offer a context by linking school-based learning with the knowledge and skills required for continued success. |

In addition to providing students with career exploration through the use of the Graduate Coach, Profiles offers students the ability to view over 500 career videos. These videos are grouped by Career Cluster or occupations and provide real-world insight into the requirements, duties and expectations for each job title.
